eSafety
So what is eSafety exactly?
eSafety is very important and plays a big part in our life when connected to the internet. eSafety is kind of like road safety and it tells us how to stay safe online. And that’s what I’m going to attempt to do in this category. But instead of writing streams of articles on each aspect of eSafety (emails, the internet, messaging and viruses etc) like I have done before, I’m just going to talk about the things that affect eSafety, e.g. accounts, viruses, and social networking. Then gradually I will try to introduce some videos because none of us like reading at the best of times, let a lone lectures, but you still seriously need to know about it, if you are going to use the internet!
And your game consoles connected to the internet (PS3′s, XBOX’s, WII’s, etc) do not get an exception to eSafety!…
So continue without reading at your own risk!! (It’s your choice)

Why does ‘eSafety’ exist?
Alright, I’ll admit it: I’m a bit big on stressing the importance of eSafety, but in all fairness theres no reason why I shouldn’t be! If you don’t want to be lectured then don’t read the sub pages but I’m only warning you at the end of the day, and one message I want to tell you now is that it’s not the social networking companys fault. In turn, social networking was and still is a brilliant concept and idea, and I could write a whole new page on the good points of social networking. It’s only the hackers and pedafiles etc that make social networking unsafe. So I’ve got this princible for social networking that may save you a lot of heart ache (but I still recomend you read the sub page ), and it goes like this: if you don’t publish anything to hack, you can’t get hacked!
But wait, I haven’t explained why viruses, spam email or account hacking exists. There’s not much to explain though. Basically, it’s down to people abusing the internet with too much time on their hands (to put it in a nut shell).
Please read on…
